Words from our Community

“I came in with a broken wisdom tooth that needed to be extracted. I have dental anxiety. And have had a bad experience with a dentist. They kept me calm and explained everything to me! And I got through it with very little discomfort! I will definitely be back. Thank you all so much!”

Where Comfort & Confidence Begin

How do I know if I have a dental emergency?

A dental emergency usually involves sudden pain, trauma, or bleeding that requires prompt attention. Common signs include a severe toothache, a knocked-out or fractured tooth, uncontrolled bleeding, swelling in the mouth or face, or a lost crown or filling causing pain or sensitivity. If you experience any of these, contact Bass Dentistry right away for guidance and urgent care.

Yes! Bass Dentistry strives to accommodate same-day appointments whenever possible for urgent dental issues. Call us as soon as the emergency occurs so we can provide prompt care and guidance.

After a tooth extraction, the main priority is for your mouth to form a firm, protective clot. Within the first hour, you’ll want to keep gauze securely covering the area. Within the next few days, avoid anything that might dislodge the clot or prevent it from forming. (This includes using drinking straws.) The clot should fully integrate with the bone within a few days.

Call us as soon as you can to arrange an appointment. Your toothache could be caused by tooth decay, an infection, or dental trauma — you may need treatment such as a filling, root canal, or tooth extraction to stop the issue from progressing. We will assess your situation and recommend the most appropriate solution.
