Our Mission

Making dental care delightful

At Bass Dentistry in Gastonia, Dr. Diana Bass and our team treat you like family. Whether you are coming in for a routine visit or suffering from dental problems, our skilled team will ensure that your needs are met, and expectations are exceeded.

We understand that some may be apprehensive about their visit. We always take time to make patients feel at ease and address any concerns they may have. Most patients find comfort in a visit with our therapy dog, Fender, who eases tension and brings happiness to everyone around him. Our goal is to bring you comfort while providing a service that is so important to your quality of life.

Dr. Diana Bass

Dr. Diana Bass is a Gastonia native who has recently returned to her hometown to pursue her career closer to family. Dr. Bass is the daughter of a dentist, and grew up learning the value of a healthy smile. She is married with two young daughters.

Dr. Bass graduated from Duke University with a degree in Biology and Psychology. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from the UNC Chapel Hill. Following graduation, she completed a two-year General Practice Residency at the UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, serving as Chief Resident her second year.

Before returning to Gastonia, Dr. Bass worked as a general dentist in the Research Triangle. During that time, she also held full dental surgical privileges at WakeMed Raleigh where she was able to render comprehensive dental treatment to patients with severe anxiety, special needs, or medical issues in the operating room setting.

Dr. Bass has experience in all aspects of dentistry including aesthetic and functional restorative dentistry, crown and bridge restorations, oral surgery, and root canals. She prides herself in valuing patient education and working with patients to restore their dentition and their smile.

Giving back to the community is also a passion for Dr. Bass. She regularly serves the community through dentistry projects including the Missions of Mercy Dental Clinics through the North Carolina Dental Society. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church and was excited to return to her hometown and serve as a dentist to the community.
