Gastonia isn’t just where we work—it’s a place we’re proud to be part of. What started as a town of just 200 people in 1877 has grown into a thriving hub of 77,000+ residents, thanks to a rich history and a whole lot of community spirit.
By the early 1900s, Gastonia was booming—home to 11 steam-powered cotton mills and known worldwide as the combined-yarn capital. It quickly became a center of trade, thanks to the railways that ran right through town. When Gastonia became the Gaston County seat in 1911, downtown development took off, paving the way for the vibrant city we know today.
